    Continuous availability is accomplished with the support of IEEE 802.1w Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol, IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP), and G.8032 Ethernet Ring Protection. The IEEE 802.1s Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol runs STP per VLAN base, providing Layer 2 load sharing on redundant links up to 65 instances.

 

  • Comprehensive QoS

    The FusionSwitch PoE can provide up to 30 Watts of power to attached devices, such as VoIP phones, wireless access points, surveillance cameras, etc, all over existing Cat. 5 cables. This eliminates the need for individual power sources for devices in the network, saving on costs for power cables and avoiding power outlet availability issues. If the power demand exceeds the switch’s maximum power budget, ports can be prioritized to receive power.

MetroLinq 2.5G 60 series point-to-point devices support an extreme capacity of 2.5 Gbps. Its new generation RF powered by a quad core CPU supports higher modulation allowing delivery of more than two times higher capacity (up to 4.6 Gbps OTA rate) compared to the first generation platform.

Multiple client options

Two model options with different sized integrated antennas are available to support different distances. Even though the average recommended distance for the 35 cm antenna is 1.6 km (1 mi) there are customers running their links at 70-80% of the maximum capacity at 2.5 km (1.6 mi), which is possibly a record distance in the 60GHz unlicensed band.

Multi-gigabit capacity

MetroLinq 2.5G series devices have interfaces allowing to utilize the full capacity of the link including a 2.5Gbps NbaseT copper interface supporting PoE and SFP port.

MetroLinq™ 2.5G 60 Beamforming Sector

The MetroLinq 2.5G 60 Beamforming Sector is a powerful 60 GHz MultiPoint base-station packed with the latest technologies from IgniteNet. This new radio can achieve 2.5 Gbps capacity allowing the construction of multi-gigabit, future-proof hybrid fibre wireless networks quickly and cost-effectively. Using the latest phased array beamforming antenna design allows 120º area coverage with an improved performance when focusing the signal to a specific client when data is transmitted and received.

The new beamforming sector antenna has a 120 degree area coverage, but during the communication with each client device 16 narrow beam steps of 10 degrees are used, which improves noise immunity and assures security of your links.

MetroLinq 2.5G series devices have interfaces allowing to utilize the full capacity of the link including a 2.5Gbps NbaseT copper interface supporting PoE and SFP port.

IgniteNet’s MetroLinq 60 LW (lightweight) changes the economics of low-cost 60GHz PTP and PTMP connections. With a 60GHz range of up to 150m (0.1mi) as well as built-in 5GHz failover, it can provide reliable high throughput in the harshest conditions. It also has the advantage of being license-free in most markets, allowing ultra-fast deployment and without the hassle of other frequency bands. The MetroLinq 60 LW also includes a third 2.4 GHz radio which can be configured a multi-tenant AP for applications ranging from hotspots to maintenance and many more. The LW is available in 2 different variants – one in which the 5GHz radio is connected to a directional antenna for backup purposes and another where it is connected to a omni for access purposes.

The MetroLinq 5 LW also includes a 2.4 GHz radio which can be configured a multi-tenant AP for applications ranging from hotspots to maintenance and many more. Integrated dual- radio design allows saving tower space and covers wireless backhaul and local Wi-Fi access scenarios with the same stock keeping unit.

IgniteNet’s MetroLinq 10G Tri-band Omni is the world’s first cost-effective 60GHz + 5GHz + 2.4GHz PTMP base station enabling high performance, interference-free connections worldwide up to 10Gbps. With a total OTA capacity of 16.393Gbps, the MetroLinq 10G is the first AP capable of providing fiber-like connections to many clients simultaneously. It also has an added advantage of being license-free in most markets, allowing ultra-fast deployment and without the hassle of other frequency bands. The MetroLinq 10G also includes both 2.4 & 5GHz 802.11ac Wave 2 radios which can be used to provide access in harder to reach nLOS applications ranging from hotspots to fixed broadband and many more.

10+ Gbps

The 10G Omni has a 10 Gigabit SFP+ port allowing full speed backhaul of the ultra-fast tri-band radios as well as a secondary 1 Gbps Ethernet port with PoE in support that can be used for out of band management or for the connectivity of additional devices like IP Cameras. There is also a DC terminal block which can be used to power up the unit.

Tri-band flexibility

The MetroLinq 10G base station has three 120° 60 GHz beamforming sectors enabling interference-free connections to form network backhaul rings as well as to connect high-capacity 60 GHz fixed wireless broadband clients. There is also a built-in 5 GHz radio with 360° coverage which can be used as a failover for 60 GHz clients, for pure 5 GHz fixed wireless broadband clients, or for access for nearby Wi-Fi clients. Finally, there is a 2.4 GHz radio with 360° coverage which is dedicated for nearby Wi-Fi clients as well.
